is sponsoring the Australia Business Young Professional Series. Building awareness through networking events is

Richard believes “a business has to be fun, yet creative – which is
exactly what the Young Professional Series is promoting".

Three teams will be selected from the
cream of young business talent in the UK each staging one of three events in the first half of 2007 and will
culminate in an awards ceremony held in June. The objective is to stage an outstanding event based on criteria
set by Australian Business.

Each team will be
adjudicated throughout the process by three mentors, Tania Baumann
- Policy Manager of the International Chamber of Commerce, Jeffrey
Young - Director of Allegra Strategies and Leonie Kerswill
- Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

All members of the
winning team will take away an economy class ticket each on Virgin
Atlantic Airways. The most outstanding individual participant will:

receive complimentary membership of Australian Business for one year
and will, with the assistance of mentors, compete to create, manage
and stage one of three major events for Australian Business. |

The team walked away
from the evening with an economy class ticket each on the Virgin Atlantic
network and Jess won two upper class tickets on the Virgin Atlantic network,
membership to the exclusive business club Home House and a position on the
board of Australian Business. She will represent the Young Professional
members and be the driving force behind the next series of 'The Challenge'.

EVENT THREE - YOUNG TALENT TIME
Dame Edna entertained the
young and talented crowd at Team Two's event of 'The Challenge'. Held at the Kensington Roof
Gardens and sponsored by ANZ Expat Mortgages, Seek UK and Paintbox Fine Art, the evening
encouraged networking, featured fantastic fine art, provided a delicious BBQ of Australian and
New Zealand cuisine and left attendees dancing the night away to an Australian DJ.

EVENT TWO - 2UP
Young professional Australians and New
Zealander's celebrated ANZAC Day with
Team Two's event - 2UP, sponsored by
the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
All eyes were on the featured trumpet
player, Jake Painter as the evening
began with the last post. From
there it was wall to wall networking
with the cream of Australian and New
Zealand business men and women
inside a fitting venue - the
Commonwealth Club. |
