In July 2009 Judith was appointed to the role of Regional General Manager, UK &
Ireland – Qantas Airways Ltd.
Judith Crompton has more than 25 years experience
in the airline and travel industry gained with some of the largest and most innovative
companies in Australia and the UK.
Judith has completed a number of advanced management
courses throughout her career as well as serving on numerous industry bodies and
travel advisory boards, which currently include:
• Director - QH Tours (UK) Limited (Qantas Holidays)
• Chair of Trustee - Qantas UK Superannuation Plan
• Director - Australian Business
• Steering Committee – G’Day UK
Judith was born in Surrey,
England. She re-located to Australia in November 1989 and became an Australian Citizen
in 1994.

Based in London, this Australian-born investor studied economics and mathematics
before managing a derivatives desk, a proprietary trading desk, and a hedge fund
in the 1980s and early 90s. His focus at that time was on predicting big picture
trends and the effects on the currency and interest rate markets. In the mid-1990’s
he semi-retired and has since operated as a “business angel” backing more early-stage
companies than anyone else in the United Kingdom. Many of these more than 75 unquoted
companies have successfully floated on the market or have been acquired.
He is an
ex-panelist from Dragons’ Den and author of Taming the Lion which received over
50 favorable media reviews.
Richard is also a Chess Master and has competed at two
Chess Olympics.

Dick travelled to the UK in 1973 from Australia and by 1976 he became involved in
starting a travel business which in 1979 became a founding part of STA Travel –
the world’s leading company in the student travel market.
As CEO of STA Travel he
oversaw the building of a retail & wholesale network in 90 countries with over 450
branches and a turnover of over US£$1.3 billion. He stepped out of the CEO role
in July 2007 and remains a Director.
He has a broad portfolio of interests including
equity holdings and non-executive positions. These interests include working within
the venture capital community; with private start-ups and businesses in transition;
as well as his own private investments and charity work.

Michael Lynagh represented the Australia Rugby Union team from 1984 to
1995 and captained the team during his final two years. Michael played in three
World Cups, winning once, and retired holding the record for scoring the most points
in internationals.
Since leaving rugby union Michael’s career has boasted
several senior positions with specialist property firms including Allco, CB Richard
Ellis, Burford Group and Prestbury Investment Holding in addition to positions with
Clydesdale Bank and National Bank of Australia. He has continued his passion and
involvement in rugby union working as a TV commentator for Sky Sports UK and contributing
to various national newspapers.
Michael lives in the UK with his family and enjoys
playing charity cricket.

John Burton is the Director in charge of Westfield's Stratford City project which
represents the company’s single, biggest ever investment in a project at £1.45b.
He has worked for Westfield for 14 years. Over the past 8 years he has lead development
projects for the company throughout the UK including Westfield's proposed £320m
development at Bradford, and a £200m redevelopment of The Friary Centre in Guildford.
He had previously worked in the business and property development of many of Australia's
major airports and was involved with the establishment of Australia's Federal Airports
Corporation.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) and a Master of Business
in Finance degrees.
